Warren had a great day at Aliwal Shoal

Had an awesome day at Aliwal shoal with Daga Duane.

First boat there; we were welcomed by a 3 metre Tiger, a lazy shark, though, which wasn't keen to buzz us.

Next drift we both had shots at Wahoo, but unfortunately I missed and Graeme's fish pulled off. Next up I spined a good fish only to see my spear pull out and watch helplessly as it quivered in circles around me until out of view.

After a bit of swearing and barb maintenance we cruised back north to begin another drift. I had a beautiful fish cruise up to flasher and thumped it a good shot. Graeme was still on the boat and quickly despatched it for me before the two angry duskies could have their share. The first hoo weighed in at 15kgs.

Next drift I managed to whack a small fish of 13kgs in the tail, only to have the whole shoal cruise in to spectate. Graeme swims over to shoot my fish and is faced with the choice of shooting his own fish or killing mine. Luckily I made the decision for him and pointed to a good fish swimming nearby. He lets rip and is speedily dragged off in a cascade of bubbles. My fish is now tearing itself to pieces and luckily I manage to snatch it by the tail before the spear falls out.

A few more fish were seen but with the whole bubble blower operation cruising by, along with fishermen and other spearo's adding their bit, everything goes quiet.
