Minutes:
Steve Farrer has taken the on the responsability of gathering
the info for the munites for 2004.....good on you mate!!!
WEBSITE:
The host we are using at the moment is not ideal as the website
has such a long address. Chris has found another host that
only costs $8 to register the domain and 12$ to host per year.
Chris has put forward the address www.saltydiver.com,
if anyone has any other ideas, e-mail Chris.
COMPETITIONS: We are gonna have a few one day comps
as well as some month comps. If anyone has any ideas for comps,
e-mail Chris or Bruce & Jill who are going to be co-ordinating
the comps and sponsourships. Their e-mail: jill.long@gb.co.za
CLUB TRIP: Chris is organising a trip to Vidal before
they go private. The proposed dates are the weekend of the
20th Feb 04. Chris will e-mail us the details.
T-SHIRTS: Robin is sorting it out, and all we are waiting
for is confirmation of the web address. Please e-mail Chris
and let him know what size shirt you wear.
CLUB FEES: These should be paid upfront but if you
have a problem, speak to Chris and I am sure he can sort something
out. When the crayfish season opens and on your first dive
you get 8 crayfish, and YOU EAT THEM, your enjoyment will
be the equivalent of about R200, so instead of getting take-away
for supper, eat your crayfish and save your money so you can
pay your fees. For those overseas 100 South African Rands......cheap!
FUNDRAISING AND COMPETITIONS: Bruce with the assistance
of his wife, Jill, are gonna be involved in this. Graeme suggested
having a fish braai once a year over the festive season and
sell tickets for the braai, this seems like a great idea and
something we must look into for the end of 2004.
Task for Jan:We have to try get more members for the
club.
At the next meeting Robin will bring the clubs financial statement.
