Dynema Knot Step 1Dynema Knot Step 2
Step 1
Start with a simple knot, make sure that you have enough line after the first loop. As you will need to then thread the end through the spear, ensuring that there is a big enough loop behind the spear so as not to get caught in the nozzle of the gun once bieng shot off.

Step 2
Once through the spear thread the line back through the first knot / loop. You can follow this same proceedure to make a loop on the other end of the shooting line.

Step 3
From here it gets difficult to explain in words, so study the pictures carfully.

We are now going to make a barrle knot that will tighten up agains the first knot. With the loose end pass through the loop as in the last pic and double back going underneath the shooting line.

Step 4
Come back round and repeat the loops 3-4 times. Some guys do 5 loops but I have found even 3 to be very strong.
Then come back through the loops and tighten the barrel knot.

Final Step
Once you have tightend the barrel knot pull it back to meet the first knot. Cut off the loose end .... not the long piece that goes to your gun. ....I have done that before!!!

Take a match and burn the end into a neat ball against the knot, that will ensure that the knot will not undo it's self.

And thats it! It is quiet simple once you get the hang of it. And I now use this knot when ever I need to make a srong loop on a line.
