The conditions were perfect - the couta were thick and patience delivered the big one. Actually needed a longer gun - a necessity I think if one is shooting off a ski - as you tend to get into nice deep clean water as opposed to a shore dive behind backline.

Couta - 1,5 meters from tip of nose to fork of tail; 25kg with some change; Shot off fishing ski using flashers; viz was to infinity and beyond, 1.2 meter Rob Allen Rail Gun. Late December 2004

A bunch of Salty Boyz were up at Bhanga for 6 days in December, some couta and other fish came out.

The cherry on the pudding was this Kingie. Mike Cook joining in on the photo shoot ......apparently he help load the fish on the ski to escape some sharks ......What a mate!
